Alligator Adventure

In March, I visited Alligator Adventure, an animal park located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It is one of the largest facilities for reptile life in the world.  I've wanted to visit this park for years.

So many alligators!

Best friends

Going for a swim

Taking a nap.

I was amazed at the different sizes.

Alligator Adventure isn't just about alligators. They also have a variety of other animals as well.

A curious kookaburra.

A happy marmoset

A conspiracy of ring-tailed lemurs

A sleepy red ruffed lemur

A sneaky rhinoceros viper

A photogenic Sarus Crane

Along with the American alligator, Alligator Adventure also has several species of crocodilian.

The American Crocodile

The False Gharial

The Nile Crocodile

The Siamese Crocodile

The Yacare Caiman

In addition, they also have some unique reptile friends as well.

Albino Alligators

The Legendary Utan: King of the Crocs. He is still considered the largest crocodile on display in the United States. Over 18 feet in length, he weighs in at 2,000 pounds!

If you like reptiles, especially alligators and crocodiles, then definitely check out Alligator Adventure. You can get up close to the ancient looking creatures and truly appreciate how they have survived for so many centuries. I definitely gained a better appreciation for them!
